It’s so easy to be a bully; to be full of anger and hate; to be intolerant and unforgiving; to blame others for (fill in the blank). But if we are followers of Christ, we ‘should’ be practicing what He preached:

…love one another as I have loved you.~John 15:12

…when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.~Matthew 25:45

If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much.~Matthew 5:46

With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness.~James 3:9

Instead, if your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.~Romans 12:20

Lord, help me to humble myself before You and put your teachings into practice. Amen.

  1. We are called to love others with the love of Christ and when we do, others will see Him in us. May we all choose to love others today, to put down our agendas and pick up His, to put aside our desires and take up His.
